VGK Moscow "xxx xxx reu reu 79482 89959 skownik 7659 9857"
  Tronds comments:

"Most interesting. The same day I had my receiver
parked on 7999 for a longer monitoring session of REA4. Between the
1812t msg and the 1813t msg, this showed up:
"xxx xxx rea4 rea4 52196 skownik 7659 9857 (msg rptd) k"
followed by:
"xxx xxx rea4 rea4 77202 brownik 9501 1034 (msg rptd) k"
REU was prior to 2008 not observed as an addressee for VGK broadcasts.
(Some indices indicate that it could be related to the merger of the
naval Northern and Pacific fleet strategic bombers into the the 37th air army).
But as "89959" is NOT common for the two messages, one must
assume that REA4 is not part of the collective REU. But the code noun
and two last 4fg's are identical for both the two "skownik" msgs, so
both the collective strategic recipient "REU" as well as the 37th air
army should take charge and execute similar operational orders.

Interesting. It is my understanding that the VGK frequencies (both VLF
and HF) are being used for relaying strategic commands and data to all
the branches of Russian strategic forces, from mobile and silo land
based missiles (strategic rocket forces) via the navy arsenal of
submarine stored missiles (strategic naval forces as an integral part
of the Russian Navy), to the airborne cruise missiles and strategic
bombs of the Russian 37th Air Army.
