Edition # 137, February 2009
Hi all,
Welcome to yet another edition of Numbers & Oddities. Tomonori was so kind to monitor the presumed South Korean Intelligence transmissions that I mentioned earlier. Dxers in the Pacific Northwest area submitted logs and messages of the still unid "72727" net. The logs of both items can be found in the Utility Round-Up section. In the Agency Profile series we focus on Nepal this time. Besides that the Russian/CIS/Ukrainian military section is again well filled.
I received a note from Joerg about a speech generator that has been used by the former MsF in East Germany . The device is displayed in the NVA Museum Harnekop, Germany . It uses punched tapes that could be transmitted via telex or, when translated by the RU75ZOz, the message was sent as a voice message. Check the video clip on http://de.sevenload.com/videos/RU75ZOz-MfS-Stimme.
