Amazing how universal our hobby is. A quick check revealed that people from 114 countries have visited the N&O website in the 1st quarter of 2008. They come from Afghanistan, Alaska, Albania, Algeria, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaidjan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bermuda, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep., Denmark, Djibouti, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Fiji, Finland, France, French Polynesia, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guatemala, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgystan, Latvia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Madagascar, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Moldavia, Nepal, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Niue, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Spain, Sri Lanka, Suid Afrika, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zambia. We would be able to find much more information about the location of stations if we would get logs from everyone. Too bad that this doesn't happen :-(
Peter Berrett posted a note about a numbers stations item
that he broadcasts in his show. If you are not interested in the complete show,
note that the numbers item starts after 10 minutes. You can download the episode
at:
http://www.amateurlogic.com
Peter is a co-host on an IPTV show called Amateurlogic and is located in Melbourne, Australia while George and Tommy are located in Mississippi, USA . They use Skype video to communicate. Episode 20 of Amateurlogic features a 10 minute segment about numbers stations. Simon Mason supplied much of the material used.
Besides the usual numbers items we also have an interesting article about Radio Direction Finding for you, penned by Fritz Nusser.
