Further to the TELESPIES item in N&O #107, I have more info for you now. John Random Entity a.k.a. "skroo" sent the following message to the Spooks list.
"Greetings spooks list!
Those of us on the Project Evil team just wanted to shoot you guys a
quick note to formally thank everyone for the part you all played in
the Mein Fraulein numbers station experiment. Without the combination
of people subscribed to this list and their interest, enthusiasm, and
(rightful) skepticism, this never would have worked out the way that
it did. We really appreciate everything you folks have done for us,
and want to make our gratitude known.
If there are no objections, we'd like to keep this account subscribed
to the list. We are numbers station geeks, after all, and would like
to keep following the activity as people log it. Also, if anyone has
any questions they'd like to ask us, please feel free to send them to
this address - it's probably better to send them here directly so that
the list's signal-to-noise ratio isn't disturbed.
Oh, and in case anyone's wondering who J. Random Entity really is,
it's skroo. If you saw the talk at Defcon, I'm the guy who did the
brief introduction at the start of the talk before handing over to
datagram as well as the organiser of the Los Angeles 2600 meeting.
Once again, our sincere thanks and appreciation. You guys and gals
more than deserve it.
Cheers,
John (aka skroo)."
