Can you decode the 5-letter groups below? I encrypted it with a 3-rotor ENIGMA simulator. I had two plugs connected; A1=B and B2=A. The first reader who sends me the correct translation will get a copy of the third WUN CD and the second one will get a copy of the book "Statewatching the new Europe". This is the sentence that has to be decoded:
ZYPLQ YFJEL UEQZV QQYKY WIXFV MBDWO YIEKQ IBTGT UMSCS NOADP
Good luck!
What is inside? Besides the introductions and crypto quiz above you'll find the usual sections; voice stations; morse stations; various modes; military stations (this time with an item about the Russian Black Sea Fleet); logs section; an intelligence profile, this time featuring Brazil; and also some intelligence news. I received an impressive list of schedules from AlphaVax and MysticOne (E10), Tomonori Izumi (Cherry Ripe) and Mark Slaten (V02). Excellent job, gents.
N&O #100 would not be possible without the input of the following contributors: Igor, Jochen, Ben, Leif, Sferix, Alex, Ron, Sam, Eddie, Fritz, Hans-Friedrich, Ron, Al, Maciej, Mike, Tomonori, Alan (good to hear from you again!), Jim, Mark, Ivan, Klaus, Shaun, Trond, "Racal", Day, AlphaVax, MysticOne, Aquila, Bob, Dave, Geoff, Peter and Larsen. Thanks a million gentlemen!
Enough said. Let's move on to the numbers stuff......
