Channel markers

L : 3202.8, 4424.5 kHz. The marker changed its night-time frequency from 3336.2 to 3202.8 kHz per August 1st and its daytime frequency from 4091 to 4424.5 kHz. "L" experienced problems during the first few days on its new frequency. It sent "LE" for a while. Thanks Fritz and CK for finding the new freqs. "L" switches from night-time to daytime schedules at 0500 UTC.
R : 5465.8 kHz
V : 3658 and 7440 kHz
P : 3772//4031//4476 kHz

An interesting note re "P" reached us via Jim:
4476 kHz: P; Prob Baltic Fleet HQ Kaliningrad 2100 CW At 2111 to 36-50/50/200 (Bee) with 3 T600 messages; P-marker; At 2130 "17744 37792 75842 33333 91554 = in OOK Morse followed by fast OOK Morse apparent 5LGs: EUHHAAAISDHISSSSSNEAAH = EEEEE NRSDT ENNAE EUUHH EUUHH ARTNI AIDNR TINEA RATDH HTUTD ... ETTIE THTRE (don't look right, so are they 5LGs?); Then 5FG msg in FSK morse 11111 86380 ... 71704 03045 K; Back to P-marker. Will investigate "fast OOK morse 5LGs" later. // 4031 kHz.

I examined the on/off keyed portion in Code30 and got only 88.9 Baud synchronous data with a possible ACF of 12. (It's very difficult to measure an on/off keyed signal as data). On copying again this portion as Morse, I'm left with the conclusion that it really is Morse, despite the lack of Cyrilic letters. It comes in groups of five letters and has a separative (=, BT) after the initial 15-letter leading EUHHAAAAAAISDHI. (I copied it incorrectly, it should be EUHHAAAAAAISDHI = SSSSS NEAHH EEEEE NRSDT ENNAE and so on). It ends ETTIE THTRE =
As to what the purpose of all these different modes on one outlet is, your guess is as good as mine!

Cluster beacons

The European beacons were probably activated because of the Russian naval exercises, C, D, P and S were audible on all of the cluster frequencies with the exception of 3 MHz. The Asian beacons F, K and M were also active throughout the month.

M08

ENIGMA has changed the designator of the M08a schedules to M08c. The reason was a change in the messages of M08a. Since December 2003 the Cubans are using "OE" for the old "AR" and "K" for the former "BT" in their format. The "E" in "OE" is more like a partial dit than a full dit. (info via Mark Slaten).

M21

Logged on two frequencies: 3246.5 and 6330 kHz.
