The launch of two Japanese spy satellites is planned for 28 March. The satellites are Japan's response to North Korea's missile threat. The decision for the launch was made after North Korea fired a suspected medium-range Taepodong missile over the country into the Pacific in August. Two reserve satellites are scheduled for March 2007 and two more in March 2009.
