Next month several corrections to my PVO article from a couple of months ago. PVO (M21) was heard on 3322 and 4631,5 kHz this month, transmitting it's usual id/time strings and plots.

MX

Cluster beacon "C" in Moscow was active during a number of days and used all cluster frequencies, even the lowest one, which was last logged quite a while ago: 3594, 4558, 5154, 7039, 8495, 10872, 13528, 16332, 20048 kHz.

Unid station

An unid station transmitted on 2742.2 in the first half of the month. I parked my radio for a couple of hours on that frequency and noticed that the beacon apparently has a schedule: hh13-hh17 and hh43-hh47.

I heard the following:

2043 2047 F
2055 2100 VVV VVV VVV K VVV VVV VVV K
2113 2117 F
2147   F
2217   F
2243 2247 F

Brian copied some traffic from "F" at 2100 UTC. It transmitted in hand keyed CW "XO8U XO8U XO8U de Y2AJ Y2AJ Y2AJ K", followed by some QRZs, some QRVs and a series of VVVVV. Then "XO8U XO8U XO8U QTC K QSA? K". Then launched into a series of hand sent numbers, often poorly sent, using a short zero. Both stations were audible.

So, who is this? Looking at the conditions, it is impossible that this is the Vladivostok beacon. It is way too loud. There has been a "F" beacon from the Gdynia area, that was reported on 2842.8 and 4555.8 kHz in the past. It transmitted only during day time. Maybe it's back again.
