M13

CR says: "M13D, ID 303 or 767, on at 0230 on 6715, does not seem to have the same rule as other M13. It is not coming on the same days each month. It has sent 3 messages in June and was on the air on Saturday and Sunday 29/30 June. I have also been looking for it during the day, as many M13 transmit first in the small hours then repeat in the evening. I did an extensive search from 1700 to 2100 when it was transmitting for over 2 hours. So far I have been unable to find it, so if anyone does hear it during a Saturday or Sunday daytime, I would very much like to know. It should be easy to find as it sends long messages, so is on the air for some time." So, if you find M13d, don't hesitate and write to N&O or to CR.

Russian / CIS military stations

John logged a truck load of military stuff from Eastern Europe. Most of it is probably from Russia, but it is quite possible that other CIS partners are also involved. Basic DF from Halden, Norway indicate that countries like Belarus and Ukraine may also be responsible for some of the transmissions. The same tactical callsigns show up on various frequencies, so it is reasonably save to believe that they belong to one and the same network. The flash messages that frequently interrupt the other traffic is most likely all Russian.

Thanks John and Trond for the logs, DF and suggestions.
