Brian Martlew discovered a new station that uses the same format as the Russian Man family. She was only on the air for a week. I wonder what the purpose was. Was this a live training for a new agent in a French speaking country or a special mission? Has anyone in a French speaking country heard of anything that could be related to this station? Brian's RealAudio file can be downloaded from the N&O home page.
The station used the following schedules:
| 0900 UTC | Mo | We | Fr | 15840 kHz |
| 0900 UTC | Tu | Th | Sa | 10635 kHz |
| 1900 UTC | Mo | We | Fr | 11060 kHz |
| 1900 UTC | Tu | Th | Sa | 10635 kHz |
| Mode | AM |
| Operator | YL |
| Language | French |
| Id's | 362 |
Format:
362 362 362 (4 minutes)
499 499
91 91
91 5-figure groups, each repeated
499 499
91 91
00000
Rimantas copied another voice transmission from 'the pip'
July 25, 22:16 UTC, Enigma "XX", 3757 kHz, YL voice message in Russian:
"For: 796, 610, 604, 461, 661, 206. How can you read me? Reception."
Repeated 4 times. It seems that 22:10-22:20 UTC is a standard daily message time.
Rimantas, I think that in this context 'over' is a better translation for 'priyom' than 'reception'. Just like the NATO military uses 'over' at the end of transmissions, 'priyom' is used the same way.
