Wolfgang told me that he heard a KUL 50bd transmission as far back as 13 June 1984 at 1457 UTC on 10584 kHz, in an ancient format very much like the one that various CW stations still transmit! Thanks for this item, Wolfgang. Interesting to see what format they used in the past.
Example:
kul kul kul ryryryryryry
nr 38 gr 190 =73447= 559.....(garbled) fdwzm obmbn
ending with : voovs iziaw

US Intelligence transmits numbers transmissions from a remote site near Frankfurt in Germany. The transmissions are probably sent to this site by micro wave from the Rhein Main Air Force Base. Freqs used are
6780, 6891, 6960, 8029, 10253 and 11072 kHz
The same site or one near by, is used to transmit the infamous 108.5 bd FEC broadcasts, also coming from an US Intelligence service.
