DEA47

In last month's Memory Lane I mentioned the BFST. The correct name of this organisation is 'Bundesstelle fuer Fernmeldestatistik', which is an affiliate of the BND.

M76

M76 has changed times and is on at 1650 UTC. As the evenings get lighter the signal seems to be getting weaker and weaker in Western Europe.

A2A [M63]

A2A monitor John reports: "As expected, "A2A"'s morning transmission is now 0500 UTC instead of 0600 UTC - that is, it is still at 8 a.m. local time since apparently the clocks were put forward one hour all over Europe (including the UK). I have found only one freq so far; the other A2A freq and the net stations freq will have to wait for another sleepless early morning.

5004 "A2A" (? somewhere in Romania) 0500 CW call-up. RTTY xmsn at 115.75 bd ACF 23, followed at 0530 by CW QSOs with the usual 40 stations, all acknowledging receipt of the RTTY. (31 March)

Since we put the clocks forward, I have heard "A2A" in the evenings on 4109, 4318, 4319, 4362, 5004, 5114 and 5116, with the other stations replying on 4067 or 4546, at various times between 1930 and 2130. Only once was I awake at 0500, and he was on 4319 and 5116 (I did not wait to look for the other stations)."
