Cuban Spy Ring

The following is a snippet from a article in the Miami Herald from a couple of weeks ago:

"After nearly four decades of Cold War with Cuba, the FBI said Monday that it broke up the biggest spy ring in years from the communist island, alleging that a dozen operatives sought to infiltrate U.S. military bases in South Florida and sow discord among exile groups in Miami."

Could this be the reason of the cut-back of Spanish and Cuban CW numbers transmissions?? About a week after the arrests Andy Bell sent us a note that the S7 Russian Man transmissions starting at 0500 UTC have been transmitted daily for at least a week. It sent the same message day after day. Normally, this station transmits on two days per week as does its sister station V7. Hence, the extra transmissions started just after the arrests. COINCIDENCE???

The frequencies used were: 5937 kHz at 0500z; 7737 kHz at 0520z; 9337 kHz at 0540z.

The following message has been repeated every day:

Followed by 111 5fg.

Andy sez "I'm wondering if this daily duplicate message is a test transmission, training transmission or maybe the intended recipient is just not responding?"
